Job Title: Electrical DrafterJob Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer responsible for cradle to grave project implementation. The role involves designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems.

Responsibilities

+ Manage electrical elements of projects from design to completion.

+ Update drawings and make changes for controls panel.

+ Create, develop, and manage electrical systems and components.

+ Design electrical controls panels.

+ Order materials as necessary.

+ Develop and refine current standards.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with electrical design and integration using AutoCAD in an industrial setting.

+ Proficiency with 2D AutoCAD.

+ Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

+ 6+ years of experience with AutoCAD electrical design preferred.

+ Experience with electrical schematic and drafting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 3D modeling experience is a plus.

+ Experience bidding jobs/projects is preferred.

+ Experience with PLC programming and HMI programming software is advantageous.

Work Environment

The company is a smaller, privately-owned firm with management onsite. It has its own brick-and-mortar facility where engineers spend significant time on concepting and engineering work. The company services various industries, including agriculture, grain handling, chemical processing, metals, discreet manufacturing, and pet foods. The work environment supports autonomy, allowing engineers to own projects from start to finish. Benefits include overtime eligibility for hours worked over 40, six paid holidays, two to three weeks of vacation, a 401k plan, and comprehensive healthcare coverage. The organization is led by a technically proficient owner who understands the intricacies of electrical engineering.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
