    Job Title: Field EngineerJob Description

     

    As a Lead Field Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the field commissioning of building automation systems tailored specifically for each customer. We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused team member who acts as a role model for other field engineers. You will be responsible for solving complex problems, training less experienced Field Engineers, and serving as a product and technical expert in the field.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure systems operate properly, including controls, sensors, and software.

    + Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, guiding others in problem-solving strategies.

    + Conduct system maintenance on field controllers, servers, workstations, and associated hardware.

    + Identify and communicate technical issues, recommending necessary upgrades, enhancements, or repairs.

    + Maintain clear documentation and provide status updates to customers throughout the project.

    + Deliver customized training to owners and operators to ensure a smooth transition for system upgrades and service improvements.

    + Provide turnkey project delivery on medium to large projects.

    + Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Proficient in integrating various building automation systems.

    + Able to interpret Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical blueprints.

    + Experience in managing multiple simultaneous challenges across various disciplines.

    + Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.

    + Bachelor’s or Associate degree, Technical/Business School Certificate, or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or a related field.

    + Capable of troubleshooting complex HVAC and building automation system logic.

    Work Environment

    The role involves working with automation, HVAC, building automation, Building Automation Controls, or BMS systems, and requires proficiency in TCP/IP, mechanical blueprints, PLC programming, boilers, and chillers. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 6/7am - 3/4pm, with occasional additional hours as needed.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
