Pediatric IOP Phlebotomist
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated phlebotomists who will be responsible for drawing patients' blood and performing specimen processing in a doctor's office setting. The role includes collection and receipt of biological specimens, proper entry into the computer system, preparation for analytical testing, and distribution to the appropriate analytical area. The position encompasses both pre and post aspects of analytical testing and specified analytical testing as assigned.
Responsibilities
+ Collect and receive biological specimens into the department.
+ Ensure proper entry of specimens into the computer system.
+ Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute them to the appropriate analytical area.
+ Perform specified analytical testing as assigned.
+ Adhere to the guidelines of the Code of Conduct.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum 2 years of pediatric experience.
+ Proficiency in blood draw, venipuncture, and specimen collection.
+ Experience with specimen processing and patient care.
+ Ability to work independently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior phlebotomy experience of 2-3 years is required.
+ GED or High School Diploma is required.
Work Environment
This role is situated in a pediatric outpatient doctor's office at Phoenix Children's Hospital. It involves working closely with medical assistants in a doctor’s office setting. The position offers Monday to Friday hours, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36/hr.
