    Job Title: General Production Worker

    Job Description

    This 1st shift position involves performing a variety of tasks in the shop, including measuring, assembly, installing, packaging and palletizing product. You will use measuring tapes, hand and power tools, follow written instructions, utilize carpentry equipment, and lift materials throughout the day. As part of preparing products for shipment, you will be an integral member of the team and will receive cross-training to support various departments.

    Responsibilities

    + Measure and assemble components using hand and power tools.

    + Install product with precision.

    + Package and palletize products for shipment.

    + Follow written instructions for various tasks.

    + Utilize carpentry equipment effectively.

    + Participate in cross-training to support different departments.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency with hand and power tools.

    + Ability to measure accurately using a tape measure.

    + Competence in following written instructions.

    + Strong comprehension and blueprint reading skills is a plus.

    + Experience with assembly and pneumatic tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in woodworking, construction, or building is advantageous.

    + Familiarity with pneumatic tools is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a spacious 95,000 sq. foot building that is not temperature-controlled with heating in the winter. The facility is a typical carpentry distributor setting that can be warm during summer months but is equipped with fans and cool treats. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 6 am to 2:30 pm or 3:00 pm.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
