    Electromechanical Technician (3rd shift)

    Job Description

    As an Electromechanical Technician, you will report to the Plant Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor, performing maintenance tasks to ensure the high quality, efficient, and timely shipment of products. Safety, quality, productivity, and a strong work ethic are integral to our culture.

    Responsibilities

    + Understand and follow plant safety rules including LOTO and safe machine operation.

    + Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, specifications, and technical data.

    + Work on motors, contractors, and relays with a multimeter to verify component functionality.

    + Operate advanced shop equipment such as bandsaws, mills, and lathes.

    + Maintain and repair Chillers, Process pumps, compressors, ink pumps, and Glue pumps.

    + Analyze and resolve mechanical and electrical issues related to the equipment.

    + Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls/PLCs.

    + Perform preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration on manufacturing process equipment.

    + Diagnose root cause of equipment problems and determine best solutions.

    + Document parts used and repairs completed in the CMMS.

    + Assist in maintaining an organized stock of spare parts.

    + Participate in Performance System activities including 5Star, Pillar Teams, Audits, and Near Misses.

    + Ensure regular, consistent attendance and punctuality.

    + Use Personal Protective Equipment as required.

    + Ensure proper and safe operational conditions of all production and related equipment.

    Essential Skills

    + Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues

    + Maintenance technician skills

    + Electro-mechanical knowledge

    + Reading and interpreting blueprints

    + Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in an industrial environment or military experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment

    + Industry experience with blown films, sheet extruders, printing, lamination, slitting, and ancillary equipment related to flexible packaging

    + Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial motor controls

    + Forklift operation skills

    + Comfortable with mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs

    + Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

    + Willingness to work off-shift positions with rotating shifts, including overtime and weekends

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $35.20 - $35.20/hr.
