Job Description

Responsibilities
+ Operate the forklift professionally and accident-free, ensuring precise inspections and maintenance.
+ Systematically maintain and clean the forklift.
+ Track the location of goods during material handling using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ensure accurate data entry.
+ Perform other manual tasks as directed by the warehouse supervisor or team lead, such as sampling inventory and cleaning.
+ Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the warehouse.
+ During seed delivery and return season, ensure proper loading and unloading of transport vehicles with quality packages to meet customer expectations.
+ Initiate and follow safety standards and emergency procedures when necessary.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to count accurately when moving inventory.
+ Ability to read scales.
+ Ability to multitask and be detail-oriented.
+ Alertness and awareness to drive the forklift safely.
+ Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
+ Ability to work in tighter confined spaces with a forklift.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 1 year of forklift experience preferred.
+ 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.
+ Prior forklift certification is preferred.
+ Reliable transportation to the site.
+ Maintain enthusiasm, a good attitude, honesty, and a willingness to treat all with respect.

Work Environment
The position involves rotating shifts, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, with up to 10-12 hours per day. Shift possibilities include Sunday-Thursday and Saturday-Friday, with a 2-3-2 rotation depending on the season. There is a shift differential for hours worked between 2:00-10:00pm and 10:00pm-6:00am. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring the use of technology such as PCs and RF scanners to complete tasks.

This is a Contract position based out of Woodhull, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
