    Job Title: 1st Shift Forklift Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled forklift operator to manage the efficient movement of products within our warehouse environment. You will be responsible for operating a sit-down forklift, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a clear production line.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate propane sit-down lift trucks to move products efficiently.

    + Create and apply labels for each production run, ensuring accurate information.

    + Attach labels and feet to each pallet as required.

    + Verify piece counts on each pallet and ensure they match the label.

    + Inspect materials for any quality defects.

    + Remove products from the production line and store them in designated warehouse locations.

    + Maintain a clear and operational production line.

    + Ensure rows are straight with a 2-4 inch gap between pallets.

    + Utilize RF Scanners for inventory management.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in operating sit-down forklifts.

    + Experience in manufacturing settings.

    + Ability to work in fast-paced environments.

    + Knowledge of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving.

    + Experience with RF scanners.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Minimum of 1+ years of experience with sit-down forklifts.

    + High School Diploma or GED required. International diplomas or GEDs accepted with proof.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This position is located in a manufacturing and warehouse setting with over 50 employees between the office and production floor. The environment involves sit-down forklifts navigating the facility, various production lines, and machinery including saws and slitters. The facility is open-door for truck operations, and conditions vary seasonally, being hot in summer and cold in winter. Candidates will need to navigate conveyor systems safely.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin Park, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
