Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator
Job Description
Individuals will be operating equipment on construction sites. They will be required to operate bulldozers, excavators, motor graders, front end loaders, and vibratory rollers to complete rough and fine grading. Individuals must be comfortable working outside the cab.
Responsibilities
+ Perform manual labor such as cleaning tracks on track equipment at the end of the shift and assisting with grade setting and silt fence installation.
+ Maintain a clean and uncluttered equipment cab.
+ Report necessary repairs and ensure lubrication and proper use of operated equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Proficient in grading, dozer, excavator, front end loader operations.
+ Experience in commercial construction and site development.
+ Minimum of 2 years of heavy equipment operation.
+ 2-3 years of experience operating excavators, dozers, and front end loaders.

Work Environment
Individuals will work on average 40-50 hours per week. Hours are Monday - Friday from 7 am to 5 pm, depending on weather conditions, with flexibility required for some weekends. The role involves conducting rough and fine grading on job sites and other general labor responsibilities. There are a total of 20 job sites, and the individual must be flexible to work on all locations. The job sites are located in the Richmond Metro area, with the furthest site in New Kent, VA.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chester, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
