Job Title: Line Leader
Job Description
As a Line Leader, you will oversee a team of under 10 employees, ensuring efficient operations across various shifts. You will be responsible for managing employee breaks, ensuring proper personal protective equipment is used, and leading daily start-up meetings to review tasks and issues. The role includes filling out necessary paperwork, prioritizing loads, and ensuring ticket entries match the blueprint and quantity.
Responsibilities
+ Manage a team of under 10 employees across 1st and 3rd shifts.
+ Ensure employees take breaks at correct times and return punctually.
+ Verify all employees have proper PPE at the start of their shift.
+ Lead daily start-up meetings to discuss issues and tasks.
+ Complete and submit paperwork for the line at the end of each shift.
+ Prioritize loads according to 'Hots,' 'Aged,' and 'FIFO' criteria.
+ Enter tickets into the computer system, verifying part matches blueprint and quantity.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.
+ Transfer racks to production lines once loads are hung.
+ Organize offline areas and ensure continuous loading of parts.
+ Utilize forklift experience to move empty containers and organize lanes by importance and FIFO color.
+ Report issues and fill out proper incident paperwork for management.
+ Conduct training, observations, and audits.
+ Understand tooling for correct part hanging for painters.
+ Prepare Week One Packet for new hires in the offline area.
+ Implement 5S methodology.
+ Load parts during downtime.
Essential Skills
+ Strong management skills.
+ Effective communication and leadership skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Forklift experience is a plus.
+ Ability to come in early to prepare for the shift with PPE, toolbox talks, observations, and notes.
+ Capability to liaise with prior shift Line Leader for seamless transition.

Work Environment
The work environment can be hot, with temperatures exceeding 90 degrees during summer months. You will be working across 1st shift (8am - 4pm) and 3rd shift (10pm - 6am or 8pm - 6am in 10-hour shifts).

This is a Contract position based out of East Moline, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
