    Job Title: Lead HVAC Technician

    Job Description

    As a Lead HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating and air conditioning systems, including splits and heat pumps. Your role involves gas pipe, sheet metal, PVC, and electric duct installation and routing, along with proper handling of refrigerants and system tuning/charging.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide technical direction and on-the-job training.

    + Coordinate construction with other trades.

    + Conduct performance tests with specialized tools.

    + Maintain OSHA standards and ensure compliance with appliance standards.

    + Travel to homes and businesses daily as scheduled.

    + Identify maintenance risks on equipment.

    + Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.

    + Clean, adjust, and repair systems and perform warranty services.

    + Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.

    + Determine customer needs and discuss solution methods.

    + Repair damaged HVAC systems.

    + Keep records of customer appointments and payment transactions, including invoices.

    + Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources.

    Essential Skills

    + 4+ years of experience as an HVAC technician.

    + Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.

    + Talent with HVAC specialty tools such as sheet metal break, gauges, manometer, hand tools, pipe fitting, acetylene torch.

    + Proficiency in balancing new systems with HVAC protocols.

    + Proficiency in reading schematics and work plans.

    + EPA 608 Certified.

    + Valid driver’s license and vehicle to transport to sites.

    + Working knowledge of boiler systems.

    + OSHA 10 Hour certified (course can be provided).

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

    + Willingness to continue education in the HVAC field.

    + High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
