Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical experience and experience in maintaining and repairing a variety of building systems and equipment. This role involves performing routine preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical problems, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

+ Use a variety of tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.

+ Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the buildings does not deteriorate.

+ Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.

+ Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.

+ Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms.

+ Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.

+ Ensure compliance with legal environmental and safety requirements of the area.

+ Understand and control the environmental aspects of the area.

+ Recognize the environmental impacts associated with their activities.

+ Follow all Environmental and Safety policies.

+ Comply with procedures, regulations, and instructions of environmental and safety programs.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.

+ Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

+ Ability to repair industrial equipment.

+ Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating, etc.).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting required.

Work Environment

This position is for the 2nd shift (3pm-1:30am) with training on the 1st shift (Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $31.00/hr.
