    Job Title: Production Lead

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Production Lead. This position is initially a 1st shift role for training purposes and will transition to a 3rd shift schedule. As a Lead Laser Operator, you will either bring prior experience or be open to training and learning on the job. Your role will involve managing a small team while operating and maintaining laser cutting machines to produce high-quality parts that meet our production schedule.

    Responsibilities

    + Provide day-to-day direction and support to 2-3 shop floor employees.

    + Operate and maintain laser cutting machines to meet quality and productivity standards.

    + Complete computer control set-up and adjustments.

    + Perform material handling duties.

    + Complete paperwork for projects, including materials used and timekeeping records.

    + Assist in preparing finished products for customer pick-up or delivery.

    + Pull parts off the laser cutting machine, inspect, grind, and pack them according to customer specifications.

    + Remove scrap and dispose of it properly.

    + Use a tape measure and demonstrate basic mechanical abilities.

    + Assist in setting up or adjusting tooling or brackets, adjusting speeds or feeds, and performing basic machine maintenance.

    + Good attendance.

    + Leadership experience.

    + Manufacturing or production experience (preferred).

    + Good mathematical skills.

    + Team player with good communication skills.

    + Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring instruments.

    + A good work ethic.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a fabrication shop that involves heavy lifting and a fast-paced atmosphere. You will work initially on the 1st shift for training (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday) and then transition to the 3rd shift (10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday). The ideal candidate will be comfortable with physical tasks and have a basic understanding of mechanical operations.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $58240.00/yr.
