    CONSUMER FIELD COLLECTOR

    A Brief Overview

     

    The Consumer Field Collector notifies or locates customers with delinquent accounts and attempts to secure payment, obtain loss mitigation (workout) agreement or secure the asset via Self-Help, Voluntary Repossession or Deposit.

    What you’ll do

    • Contacts delinquent account customers in person or sets up a contact visit by telephone.

    • Obtains the reason for arrears, records information about critical demographics, financial status of customer, status of collection efforts and follow-up.

    • Performs repossession or recommends the placement of the account to an agency/attorney.

    • Receives payments and posts amount paid to customer account.

    • Skip traces customer to new address by inquiring at post office, questioning references/neighbors or via any leads that may come up via the credit bureaus or other creditors.

    • Attempts to repossess asset/merchandise when customer fails to make payment.

     

    What You’ll Need to Succeed

     

    Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field and one year of relevant experience. Driving license and car in good conditions is required.

    • Computer literate (Word, Excel)
