    Minimum qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

    + 5 years of experience in program management.

    + Experience in hardware manufacturing engineering, including manufacturing process development, fixture design or validation

    + Experience partnering or working with product design teams through the manufacturing process.

    Preferred qualifications:

    + Master’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.

    + 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

    + Experience with high-volume and high-precision consumer electronics.

    + Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) methodologies in areas including but not limited to manual and automated precision electronic assembly, sealing, adhesives, metal fabrication and finishing, injection molding, and leak testing.

    + Experience with automation development.

    + Understanding of NX or other CAD tools, DOE, GRR, tolerance analysis, and statistical analysis.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

     

    As a Technical Program Manager for Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, you will join the expanding product development organization in the design, manufacture, and delivery of industry-leading smartwatches.

     

    In this role, you will partner with design engineering and industrial design to drive and guide design decisions, and collaborate effectively with manufacturing partners and equipment providers to develop robust, efficient, cost-effective, high-volume assembly processes and solutions. You will be involved in the entire product development process, from architecture selection to assembly process creation to factory implementation and qualification.

The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

     

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     + Support product definition and architecture selection, in collaboration with product design teams, via Design for Manufacturability (DFM) engagement in areas including but not limited to manual and automated precision electronic assembly, sealing, adhesives, metal fabrication and finishing, injection molding, and leak testing.

    + Lead development of manual, or automated manufacturing processes, fixtures, and equipment, in collaboration with manufacturing partners, via identification of functional requirements, development and validation of manufacturing solutions, and partnership with equipment providers.

    + Identify, investigate, analyze, and integrate new manufacturing processes, technologies, and equipment.

    + Lead program or portfolio initiatives related to new product introduction effectiveness, new technology integration, manufacturing flexibility, and scalability.
