    Job Objective: This position is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the healthcare system, including the implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, alignment of financial systems with the Electronic Health Record (EHR), budgeting, cost accounting and long-range financial planning. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data, compliance with regulatory requirements and supports the financial health of the organization through effective management and strategic planning. Supports the organization in fulfilling the mission, vision and values of Logan Health.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.

    + Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in accounting within a healthcare setting required.

    + Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a leadership position required.

    + Deep understanding of accounting principles, practices, and standards as well as healthcare budgeting, productivity and cost accounting required.

    + Relevant certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) are preferred.

    + Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle preferred.

    + Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement preferred.

    + Demonstrated success in leading financial operations in a healthcare organization preferred.

    + Promotes excellence through setting high standards and providing high quality outcomes.

    + Ability to act with integrity, kindness and exhibit empathy.

    + Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

    + Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

    + Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

    + Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

    Job Specific Duties:

    + Leads the implementation and optimization of the ERP system to enhance financial operations and reporting.

    + Ensures seamless integration and alignment of financial systems, including the ERP and EHR, to support accurate and efficient financial data management including financial dashboards and standard System reporting.

    + Supports the alignment/System standardization of both the operating and capital budgets, including policies and procedures, in concert with the System’s long range financial plan.

    + Supports the alignment/System standardization of cost accounting platforms.

    + Supports the alignment/System standardization of service line analytics.

    + In collaboration with the System and Entity CFOs, supports the development of standard financial reporting packages and presentations by providing insights and recommendations for financial performance improvement.

    + Collaborates with clinical, financial, and administrative leaders to align accounting and financial strategies with organizational goals.

    + Exhibits strong analytical skills and identifies and resolves issues efficiently.

    + Improves financial performance through effective accounting management strategies.

    + Leads change initiatives and drives organizational improvements.

    + Manages complex projects and initiatives that drive accounting improvements.

    Schedule:

    The Health System operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
