    This position offers a base salary between $170,000.00 and $269,000.00.

    The Senior Associate Director, Market Research & Competitive Intelligence has primary responsibility for all aspects of primary MR (including primary CI and data collection), secondary research and CI for designated brand(s) or channel. This role is responsible for the development of timely and actionable insights including effective integration, consolidation (reports from multiple PM analytics sources) and communication of MRCI analyses to BIPI Management and Headquarters. The brand(s)assigned to the SR AD will be of high importance and potential to BI. In addition, the SR AD will have leadership across the assigned TAs within MR/CI to set standards, drive consistency of application and establish best in class standards in one key functional area (for example, MR or CI). The position holder will have working knowledge of more than one TA within the assigned therapy areas and will be the primary lead supporting the ED in their responsibilities across the supported TAs.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    + Has primary responsibility for all aspects of market research and CI supporting assigned In-Line and/or Pipeline Products, Managed Markets, and Licensing/Business Development. Design, execute and interpret market research studies and employ a wide variety of secondary sources to support launch excellence, product development decisions, in-licensing opportunities, and maximize the effectiveness of Managed Market strategies and tactics.

    + Works directly with Marketed Brands /Pipeline, Managed Markets, or Business Development in the creation of product development and marketing strategies and tactics.

    + Provides analyses, insights, and recommendations to guide high-level decisions affecting product development, and in-licensing opportunities to Sr. Leadership and other stakeholders.

    + Ensures that all relevant information from other functions (e.g. Sales Analytics, Forecasting, and Controlling) is integrated into analyses.

    + Leads and conducts analysis of integrated MR and CI data from multiple sources within PM to produce and clearly communicate streamlined, flexible, actionable insights to support key launch, product development, and business development decisions.

    + Works with internal customers to assure that Strategic Research and CI results are being communicated and used effectively to meet corporate goals.

    + Leads and conducts CI efforts to provide actionable insights, intelligence and recommendations to BI Senior Leadership, Brand Leadership, and other key stakeholders relative to the market and competitive forces driving opportunities and threats that could impact our industry and specifically our product portfolio from MPP through marketed products.

    + Develops holistic and predictive market and competitive landscape assessments based on a thorough analysis of internal and external business issues using accepted analytical methodologies and ensures integration of intelligence and CI deliverables into brand planning, forecasting, Managed Markets, PMO and strategic decision making.

    + Leads cross functional scenario analysis (and co-leadership of Pipeline VPDPs) and competitive response modeling workshops in all channels including Managed Markets for supported products as appropriate based on brand life cycle and market events.

    + Ensures that Strategic Research and CI goals are aligned with PM Management’s goals and priorities.

    + Deploys Strategic Research and CI resources accordingly and sets annual objectives and budgets.

    + Adapts deployment as needed to support PM Management’s evolving needs.

    + Ensures that corporate standards of excellence and compliance are upheld and performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations (e.g. EEO, FDA, OSHA, PDMA, EPA, PhRMA, SCIP etc.) and Company policies and procedures.

    + Immediately reports noted/observed violations to management.

    + Always demonstrates high ethical and professional standards to main BIPI’s excellent reputation within the medical and pharmaceutical community.

    Special Projects:

    + Establishes and leads special projects for department to support PM’s changing process and execution needs.

    + Participates in Special projects at the direction of PM management.

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) with nine (9) years required of experience in Pharma Industry with a working knowledge of drug development process, including activities from pre-clinical through marketing of a product, anatomy and physiology and principles of disease, rationale for treatment algorithms and business knowledge of Pharma companies and their business practices (required).

    OR

    + Masters with seven (7) years of experience in Pharma Industry with a working knowledge of drug development process, including activities from pre-clinical through marketing of a product, anatomy and physiology and principles of disease, rationale for treatment algorithms and business knowledge of Pharma companies and their business practices (preferred).

    + Six-plus (6+) years of leadership experience.

    + Previous project management experience preferred.

    + Demonstrated ability to lead others without authority and influencing peers.

    + Experience leading project teams.

    + Demonstrated success in managing large-scale cross-functional projects.

    + Demonstrated success in all types of market research techniques, both qualitative and quantitative, including multivariate analytical techniques.

    + Excellent analytical skills.

    **Eligibility Requirements** :

    + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

    + Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).

    + Must be 18 years of age or older.
