    Responsibilities

    The Maintenance Supervisor coordinates and oversees the activities of the maintenance area and operating workers such as Maintenance Leads, Maintenance Technicians, Tooling Technicians and others as needed. This position is responsible for operational objectives by contributing information and analysis for strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing action plans, implementation of production, productivity and quality.

    KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Supports and maintains all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement as well as standard work procedures.

    2. Supervises maintenance, tooling, and automation personnel in maintaining machines and equipment.

    3. Plans and maintains maintenance schedules.

    4. Set priorities for repair of the molds, as needed.

    5. Evaluate downtime and efficiency reports to determine productivity levels and other areas requiring special attention.

    6. Coordinate efforts with other groups in maintenance, scheduling, molding, and printing.

    7. Keep Tooling Department personnel informed on pertinent activities and information.

    8. Enforce Company policies.

    9. Staff department as needed.

    10. Monitor and approve all activities performed by the Tooling Department.

    11. Responsible for ensuring the compliance with product safety guidelines.

    12. Responsible to ensure all employees are properly trained on Life Saving Behaviors and all other safety procedures that apply to the department.

    13. Responsibilities and Authority include assuring compliance with federal, state, government and/or any appropriate regulatory law or guidelines.

    14. Provides technical advice and training to production and maintenance personnel.

    15. Manages the installation of new and used equipment.

    16. Coordinates new automation equipment with production personnel.

    17. Assists Molding Department in making necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.

    18. Arranges and coordinates outside contractors.

    19. Manages the upkeep of recommended building and ground repair.

    20. Authorize to take out of service any machine or equipment that would further deteriorate it upon continued use.

    21. Issue request for capital expense for continued plant product and machine maintenance.

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

    1. High School diploma or equivalent.

    2. Able to supervise people.

    3. Self-starter with eagerness to learn and take initiative.

    4. Possess functional knowledge of mechanical repair/maintenance of injection molding machine and auxiliary equipment with three years minimum practical application.
