Job Description
General Scope of Duties
The Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative and clerical support to the Health Center, ensuring efficient and effective operations. This role is crucial in maintaining a smooth flow of information, managing patient records, and providing excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Priority Job Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Greet and check in patients/clients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient reception process.
+ Answer phones, screen calls, and direct patients/clients to appropriate staff or services.
+ Handle appointment scheduling for SHS through PyraMED and for SCS through Titanium (email, phone and in-person).
+ Send appointment reminders and ensure paperwork is completed in advance of the first appointment.
+ Communicate regularly with the Office Manager regarding work flow issues.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Identify and coordinate improvements in office efficiency, including forms, protocol, procedures.
+ Manage inquiries and provide information about Health Center services and procedures.
+ Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
+ Other duties as assigned or as necessary.
Education and Skills
+ Graduation from high school and 1 – 3 years secretarial experience.
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
+ Knowledge of office management and equipment required.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
+ Experience with electronic health records ( HER ) systems preferred.
+ High integrity needed to handle confidential information.
+ Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy.
+ Well-organized, able to work under pressure and as a member of a team.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Basic knowledge of health insurance.
+ Travel as required.

Salary Range $20.00-$21.38
