CTG is seeking to fill a Data Engineer – Data Modeling opening for our client in Dallas, TX.

**Location:** Dallas, TX

**Duration:** 12 Months

Duties:

+ Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using PySpark and Python.

+ Implement data quality checks and validation using tools such as Great Expectations.

+ Utilize Airflow for orchestration of data workflows and automation of data pipelines.

+ Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and cross-functional business teams to understand data needs and translate them into robust technical solutions.

+ Support data modeling activities, including the design and maintenance of efficient data models to support reporting and analytics use cases.

+ Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

+ Ensure performance tuning and optimization of data processing pipelines.

Skills:

+ Strong programming experience in Python, with practical expertise using libraries such as pandas, sqlalchemy, and pySpark.

+ Solid working knowledge of SQL, including performance optimization techniques.

+ Experience with building and maintaining ETL pipelines.

+ Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.

+ Understanding of data modeling principles and best practices.

+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience:

+ 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.

+ Demonstrated success in developing and managing data pipelines and data infrastructure in a production environment.

+ Experience working in cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
