Inventory Control Specialist

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to support the efficient management of our inventory systems and warehouse operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining optimal stock levels and ensuring accurate tracking of materials across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as needed within authorized limits.

+ Establish and maintain backup sources for high-demand materials.

+ Analyze inventory usage reports to recommend recurring automated orders.

+ Generate timely inventory reports for internal stakeholders.

+ Foster and manage strong vendor relationships.

+ Accurately document goods received, and shipments dispatched.

+ Maintain and enhance inventory software/database systems.

+ Perform regular spot checks and partial inventory audits.

+ Assist in company-wide annual physical inventory audits.

+ Support additional inventory-related functions as required.

Requirements

Required Skills and Competencies:

+ Strong communication skills across internal teams and external vendors.

+ Working knowledge of inventory control principles and practices.

+ Proficiency with computerized inventory systems and keyboarding.

+ High attention to detail and self-motivated work ethic.

+ Strong organizational and analytical skills.

+ Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations reliably.

Education and Experience:

+ High school diploma or equivalent required.

+ Prior experience in computerized inventory management systems is essential.

Physical Requirements:

+ Ability to sit at a computer workstation for extended periods.

+ Capability to lift to 40 lbs as needed.

+ Must be physically able to navigate the warehouse and access inventory at various heights.
