The Senior Human Resources Consultant provides strategic human resources consulting to business, operations and HR regarding the implementation of human resource strategies. This includes day-to-day management of physician relations investigations, compliance and reporting, and physician relations work.
This is a full-time position that works daylight hours, Monday through Friday. Upon completion of training, this position offers very flexible work arrangements! Responsibilities:
+ Lead business objectives with employees and management, serving as a senior business partner to management on HR-related issues and acts as a change agent.
+ Partner with leaders to provide and implement HR initiatives that support management and employees across the organization.
+ Collaborate with HR team to design and plan interventions that facilitate organizational changes.
+ Provides leadership and mentorship within the HR department and oversee HR staff as needed.
+ Drive change management practices to enable organizational effectiveness and foster a diversity & inclusion strategy that will maximize our competitive advantage and skills of the workforce.
+ Effectively communicate expectations with business, operational, and HR partners while promoting a One Team collaborative atmosphere in which all functions of HR work together as one team.
+ Participate on local and/or organization wide committees that focus on projects that move the organization forward and towards meeting its strategic goals.
+ Continuously improve skills and knowledge and upgrade business acumen, to stay abreast of industry trends. Demonstrate capabilities and professional knowledge, and the ability to assimilate new knowledge.
+ Collaborate with HR business and operational leaders to identify education gaps and development opportunities for management and employees. Partners with management to provide consultation on coaching and mentorship for staff.
+ Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field and at least three years of employee relations experience required.
+ OR High School Diploma/GED and five years of employee relations experience required.
+ Knowledge and understanding of federal, state and local legislation as it applies to human resources and the employment process is required.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ PHR, SPHR certification, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification or UPMC HCI Strategic HR Business Partner Certification required within the first 12 months of hire for external candidates.
+ Internal applicants within UPMC HR are required to have the certification requirements in place to be considered for promotional opportunities.
