    Position Description

    Serco is seeking a Principal Games for Training (GFT) Trainer to join our team at the Mission Training Complex (MTC) on Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) in Washington. In this key role, you will lead simulation-based training exercises using the Army’s GFT systems to help Soldiers meet their tactical training objectives. This position is contingent upon contract award, budget, and customer approval.

    In this role, you will:

    + Utilize Army Games for Training (GFT) systems to conduct collective military training.

    + Ensure seamless integration of simulation systems including GFT, Warrior Skills Trainers (WST), and Shoothouse (TSS).

    + Apply a deep understanding of mission command training, system configuration, and simulation support practices.

    + Independently perform complex training tasks and develop innovative solutions.

    + Consult with military and defense clients on training evaluation and development.

    + Represent the GFT team and coordinate across internal and external stakeholders.

    + Deliver briefings and presentations to leadership, partners, and distinguished guests.

    + Lead the design and development of training scenarios and materials aligned to unit objectives.

    + Coach Soldiers on effective use of gaming hardware and simulation platforms.

    + Serve as system administrator and lead facilitator for GFT operations.

    + Troubleshoot and maintain simulation systems and shared simulation databases.

    + Develop scripting modifications using Run Time Editor to support Commander-directed scenarios.

    + Support other training missions and operations across the MTC team.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED with 10 years of simulation training experience; or

    + Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of simulation training experience; or

    + Master’s degree with 4 years of simulation training experience.

    + Military leadership experience at platoon level or higher.

    + Familiarity with basic operations of Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS).

    + Understanding of current military regulations, policies, and standards.

    + Strong ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with diverse military and contractor teams.

    + Ability to work on-site at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington.

    + Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.

    + Active U.S. Department of Defense Secret clearance.

    + Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50 pounds.

    To be successful in this role, you will have:

    + Proven experience with Army simulation platforms and mission training execution.

    + Strong organizational and problem-solving skills in a dynamic training environment.

    + Effective communication skills and comfort in presenting to leadership and external stakeholders.

    Additional desired experience and skills:

    + Combat Arms Senior NCO background.

    + Valid CompTIA Security+ and/or Network+ certifications.

    + Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills.

    In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $82,900.00 to $124,300.00; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
