Position Description
Serco is seeking a Principal Configuration Management Analyst to support our Immersive Mission Solutions (IMS) Operating Unit in Orlando, Florida. In this dynamic and fast-paced role, you will support hardware and software configuration management activities across the full lifecycle, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense and customer requirements.
This position plays a critical role in establishing and maintaining baseline records, managing change control processes, and supporting configuration audits and deliverables. You will help ensure delivery accuracy, quality, and adherence to program objectives.
In this role, you will:
+ Prepare and coordinate project documentation to meet contract requirements.
+ Review contracts to determine documentation needed throughout project phases.
+ Submit Contract Deliverables (CDRLs) and provide associated metrics and reports.
+ Support Engineering Change Requests and coordinate changes with stakeholders.
+ Maintain configuration records for both hardware and software assets.
+ Manage Configuration Management repositories using SharePoint and enterprise systems.
+ Serve on the Software Configuration Management (SWCM) team to oversee change control, audits, and delivery of software products (COTS/GOTS).
+ Facilitate Engineering Review Board (ERB) and Change Control Board (CCB) meetings.
+ Provide configuration control through all software development lifecycle phases.
+ Support Test Readiness Reviews and CDRL submissions.
+ Collect and analyze CM metrics to assess process efficiency.
+ Train software developers in CM tools and software quality practices.
Qualifications
Qualifications
One of the following education and experience combinations:
+ High school diploma or GED with 9+ years of hardware/software configuration/data management experience; or
+ Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; or
+ Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience; or
+ PhD with 1+ year of relevant experience.
+ Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
+ Knowledge of Configuration Management principles and standards.
+ Experience managing CDRLs and working within structured development processes.
+ Data management experience in a government contracting environment.
+ Must be able to work on-site in Orlando, FL.
+ Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
+ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to independently manage tasks and meet deadlines.
+ Familiarity with CM auditing and reporting tools and best practices.
Additional desired experience and skills:
+ Active Secret clearance.
+ CMPIC or NDIA certification.
+ Experience on DoD programs or with Agile development processes.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Atlassian Tool Suite.
+ Experience with build processes, SQL queries, and SharePoint.
+ Knowledge of international standards (IEEE, SISO, AS9100).
+ Exposure to Six Sigma and process improvement methodologies.
