Job Description
Capital Management Specialist, Sr. This position is heavily involved in the preparation of Comerica's annual Capital Plan. The individual should be able to read and interpret bank capital regulations and should be able to run and maintain the capital forecasting model. This position works with forecasting the Parent Company's cash position and BOLI and COLI related matters. This position regularly prepares materials for the Comerica Incorporated Board of Directors, Comerica Bank Board of Directors, CMC, ERC, STMCO, and regulators as needed. This position also performs peer analysis and participates in ad-hoc projects, as necessary. Position Responsibilities:Capital Plan and Stress Test Contributes to the written narrative, which is a key component of the Capital Plan, and assists other groups with their respective sections of the narrative, as needed. Prepares supporting materials and analysis for the annual capital plan. Produce specific materials for the Capital Management Committee, Capital Stress Test Management Committee, Comerica's Board, and regulators. Transfer of information from capital model and other sources to reporting platform (Workiva) for the annual capital plan. Capital Forecasting Model Able to update actuals in the model (e.g., G/L and regulatory). Using balance sheet and income statement forecasts provided by other groups (e.g., FP&A, ALM), use the model to produce a capital forecast. Maintain model, including documentation, user manual, back-testing, etc. Prepares analysis and presentation materials for Comerica Incorporated Board of Directors, Enterprise Risk Committee of the Board, Comerica Bank Board of Directors, Capital Management Committee, Enterprise Risk and Return Committee and regulators as needed, including peer analysis. Ad-hoc analysis and reporting, including creating associated written material and presentations, and other duties as assigned. Assist senior department members with maintaining appropriate audit and controls, including secondary reviews. Assist with other department responsibilities, including parent company cash forecasting as well as BOLI and COLI management.
Qualifications
Position Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Finance or similar discipline
+ 4 years of experience in capital forecasting, regulatory reporting, Bank financial analysis, Bank FP&A, or equivalent
+ 4 years of experience in banking or financial services
+ Advanced level Excel skills; proficient with other Microsoft Office applications
+ Knowledge of S&P Global Markets Intelligence, Workiva, Workday, and other similar applications, or ability to learn quickly
