    There is an opening on 1st shift with hours from 11am - 3pm and an opening on 2nd shift with hours from 7:30pm - 11:30pm.

    Summary:

    The Finisher/Packager performs work in a manufacturing facility and packages finished goods following proper packaging standards and procedures.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     

    + Packages finished goods following proper packaging standards and procedures.

    + Ability to accurately read a tape measure.

    + Unitizes, check counts and verifies length.

    + Ability and willingness to learn to operate machinery.

    + Ensure production areas are completely stocked with required material.

    + Perform in a fast-paced production environment

    + Ability to understand manufacturing procedures.

    + Lifts heavy objects by hand and cleans work area, machines, and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds, to assist machine operators.

    + Any other duties required by supervisor.

     

    Safety

     

    + Works safely and follows all safety rules and operational procedures.

    + Wears and maintains all required PPE.

    + Keeps all assigned work area clean at all times.

    + Understands all safety devices and their operation.

    + Notifies management if safety devices are malfunctioning or missing prior to operation.

    + Safely operates all lifting devices per manufacturing specifications.

     

    Mathematical Skills

     

    + Basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and converting fractions into decimals.

    + Must be able to use and read a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer, dial bore gauge, and various other precision measurement equipment.

     

    Work Environment

     

    + Manufacturing facility - exposed to heat and cold

    + Personal Protective Equipment always required

    + Controlled Noise exposure

    + Activity level is high - continuous movement

    Requirements

    Requirements and Qualifications Able to work with people Strong work ethic Must be capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills Must be able to read and write and be able to stay focused Education / Experience Prior manufacturing experience preferred. High school/GED or Trade school in machines. Mathematical Skills Basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and converting fractions into decimals. Must be able to use and read a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer, dial bore gauge, and various other precision measurement equipment. Physical Requirements Lifting- Up to 50 lbs. Standing-8 or more hours per day Walking- Off and on, 4-6 hours per day Body Positions- Squatting, bending, flexing and extending both arms Grasping- Both hands, up to 8 hours per day Sitting- None Pushing Effort- Carts of finished product and tools, up to 50 lbs. Pulling- Tools and finished product, up to 15 lbs.     Starting Pay

     

    Pay range $ 21.00 -$ 25.00/ hour
