Salary Range:Low $50,184 per year High $55,202 per year
Hourly Range:Low 24.13 per hour High $26.54 per hour
Schedule:Full time, Thursday- Saturday, 8-hour shift, between the hours of 6:30 am – 3:00 pm. Working on the weekends and holidays are required.
Job Summary:The Lead Coordinator focuses on ensuring that the Center’s overall daily activities and events are planned and implemented, schedules are posted in advance, communication goes out to members in timely ways, and the center has the necessary supplies in place to effectively operate each day. In absence of the RSC Director, the Lead Coordinator will oversee the daily center operation to ensure there is appropriate staff coverage for each shift. Oversee any emergency related concerns that may come up throughout the day with any of the members. This position has a special emphasis on organizational abilities and computer skills. The Lead Coordinator works with the other staff, peer leaders, and members, to ensure that the Recovery Support Center is a safe and welcoming environment to all for all the members. Lead Coordinator must be committed to championing recovery, providing and encouraging peer-to-peer support and helping to shape and organize the overall Peer Participatory Process that is the heart of the RSC model. Lead Coordinator is expected to act as positive role models and peer mentors, providing guidance, support, and access to key resources that help members on their recovery journey, no matter what pathway of recovery they choose.
Essential duties / responsibilities:
+ Generates and responds to ideas for Center activities.
+ Ensures that a menu of activities meets a wide range of needs for people in recovery.
+ Ensures that activities are well planned and have the supplies and tools they need to be successful.
+ Supports the Associate Director with data collection and entry. Manages the input of all member enrollment forms into the Virtual Gateway and inputs group attendance into ClientTrack
+ Attends regional BSAS meetings with Associate Director and supports in managing tasks related the contract, i.e. annual PRSC surveys and Recovery Month planning
+ Keeps members up to date about activities and events. Uses calendars, flyers, emails, phone calls, social media, etc. Announces things in advance, and communicates any changes in a timely way.
+ Acts as the go-to person to ensure the Center follows the daily schedule and meets operational guidelines when the Associate Director is not available.
+ Supports Associate Director with managing schedule coverage as needed
+ Keeps track of inventory of supplies (office supplies, food/snacks, etc.) and places orders as needed or as authorized.
+ Provides coaching/mentoring to members and staff assisting with operations.
+ Has an active and engaging presence in the day-to-day operations of the Center. Is available to members and build professional and supportive relationships around recovery, wellness, and personal growth.
+ Welcomes people to the center. Provides Center orientations with the Member Engagement coordinator, conducts membership applications, and scans membership cards.
All Coordinators:
+ Promote safety for all members by ensuring that people in the Center are contributing positively to the recovery community.
+ Uphold Center’s Code of Ethics and illustrates trauma-informed, recovery-oriented values.
+ Reinforce positive messages of recovery through personal words and actions, including ensuring that language is stigma-free.
+ Champion peer-based recovery services and encourage people to join and become active in the community
+ Participate in and provide support for peer led activities and events
+ Have an active and engaging presence in the day-to-day operations of the Center. Be available to members and build professional and supportive relationships around recovery, wellness, and personal growth.
+ Welcome people to the center. Provides Center orientations, conducts membership applications, and scans membership cards.
+ Provide supportive redirection and/or referral for those whose presentation may suggest possible substance use or whose behavior is not consistent with the center’s expectations.
+ Intervene swiftly and respectfully with members when necessary, to ensure everyone is abiding by the shared rules and values of the Center.
+ Help members to organize themselves and their thoughts and ideas. Provides encouragement to members to get more deeply involved.
+ Help members to generate ideas for activities and resources that promote recovery by ensuring a focus on mind, body, and spirit.
+ Practice motivational interviewing and other techniques central to recovery coaching practices.
+ Ensure consistency and follow-through on commitments.
+ Stay up to date on recovery and treatment resources.
+ Promotes resources and provide information through postings, flyers, conversations, meetings, etc.
+ Collaborate with other SFH staff to engage and support individual members and participants in other SFH programs.
+ Be actively engaged in professional development and growth. Actively participates in training and workshops.
+ Enter basic information into database and keeps all required documentation current.
+ Participates in weekly individual and group supervision with Center Director.
+ Adheres to agency code of conduct.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Skills & Abilities:

+ Able to apply an understanding of the overall and day-to day barriers faced by individuals experiencing homelessness.
+ Comfort embracing and implementing change and ability to model enthusiasm, courage, and resiliency.
+ Proficiency in English.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
+ Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
+ Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them with appropriate.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
+ Ability to function well in a fast-pace and stressful environment.
+ Basic understanding of and commitment to taking a person-centered, recovery-oriented, and trauma-informed approach.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education & Experiences:
+ High School diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum of 1-2 year of experience working directly with people experiencing homelessness and or substance abuse/recovery.
+ Lived experience with substance recovery required with at least 12 months of active engagement in recovery practices.
+ Lived experience with homelessness preferred.
+ Clear understanding of recovery coaching, motivational interviewing, addiction treatment, or other related areas a plus, however all hired staff will complete the Recovery Coach Academy as on the job training
+ Commitment and compassion towards persons experiencing homelessness, disability, and behavioral health issues.
+ Experience using Microsoft Word (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) software, and extensive knowledge of HMIS database software.
+ Bilingual Spanish a plus.
