We are looking for a Program Manager to lead a coordinated team effort between Sales, Systems Execution, Segment and Research and Development to manage strategic engineering development activities, support sales and commercial matters as requested, and increase revenue and profit within responsible customer accounts. In this role, you will report to the Director of Sales while strategically examining customer needs and key initiatives to increase annual sales volume and targeted product enhancements.
Primary responsibilities will include
Business Management and Planning
+ Generate, monitor, and facilitate forecasting of bookings opportunities that offer an opportunity for increased sales and revenue
+ Strategic planning to align agreements with FANUC technologies - Develop proposals and sales tools to gain customer alignment
+ Evaluate customer scope requirements, accuracy and assist in developing quotes for ongoing program needs within agreement scope
+ Robot inventory and configuration optimization maximizing the utilization opportunities while minimizing FANUC’s inventory risks
+ Other duties as assigned
Customer Interface and Management
+ Ongoing technical support, product and agreement level open issue management, engineering development management
+ Global and strategic agreement/project roll outs, alignment and maintenance of ongoing agreements
+ Solicit customer input on product operation and new requirements to provide direction on product improvements and new products to increase FANUC’s competitive advantages and market share, while increasing customer satisfaction
+ Collect and compile customer feedback regarding supporting groups within FANUC America to drive continuous improvement towards customer satisfaction and overall performance improvements
+ Drive customer satisfaction through monitoring and supporting execution organizations on project matters of robot delivery and product related issues
+ Act as an interface to manage customer communications with line builders on both technical and commercial program elements
+ Lead the development and execution of demonstrations and technology transfers
+ Develop and maintain presentation materials to communicate FANUC's capabilities
+ Coordinate customer visits, presentations, and demonstrations
+ Local, regional, and international travel is required for visits to customer locations and internal meetings as necessary
Proposal Development and Execution Support
+ Collaborate on the management, submissions and alignment of request for quotations, authorizations to proceed, order management
+ Coordinate pricing development as needed to ensure commercial and technical alignment for proposal development. Including commercial amortization fund and technical compliance development
+ Proposal value proposition and why buy development
+ Collaborate with Project Execution team to compile data based on historical project data to provide the sales team data to set sales and development strategies
+ Interface with internal resources and the customer on sold projects to assure complete understanding of deliverables including:
+ Participating in kickoff and status meetings as required to assure smooth project execution and complete customer satisfaction
+ Assisting with purchase order amendments pricing, quotations, and order acknowledgements as required
+ Execution engagement involving, but not limited to, leadership, conflict negotiation, change order management, organization & scheduling, engineering, and engineering development open issues
+ Provide FANUC America remote offices and overseas FANUC CORPORATION offices centralized coordination for global business when global contracts are in place
+ Guide the process of execution hand-off to ensue agreement in program and project scop to aftermarket sales parts, service and training group
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), Business Administration or related field; or equivalent relevant experience
+ 5+ years project execution, automation applications, selling experience and/or selling support experience in capital equipment, and automotive body shop, propulsions/powertrain, and fabricating environment
+ Diverse customer and application experience to support ability to effectively penetrate new sales opportunities and the development of new applications within the identified strategic customer initiatives
Preferred
+ 8+ years project execution, automation applications, selling experience and/or selling support experience in capital equipment, and automotive body shop, propulsions/powertrain and fabricating environment
+ 5+ years Project / Product Management Experience related to new application or product implementation
+ 5+ years of international customer and application experience to support project execution, ability to effectively penetrate new sales opportunities and the development of new applications within the identified strategic customer initiatives
