Job Description:
Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a highly skilled **Windchill/ThingWorx** **PLM Lead Engineer** to fill a critical role within its Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in **ThingWorx Navigator** and **PTC Windchill** development and integration, with a strong understanding of digital thread concepts within the medical device industry.
This is a hybrid role based in West Chester PA, Raritan, NJ and Raynham, MA.
The candidate will collaborate with key business subject matter experts (SMEs), solution architects, and squad engineers to refine business needs into working code and business solutions. Furthermore, this role will facilitate technical roadmap and continuous improvements while closely engaging with PLM solution architects.
This person should have a comprehensive understanding of user needs and the expected business impact, delivering solutions that enhance operational efficiency and improve essential metrics, specifically aimed at optimizing MedTech R&D within the R&D Product Lifecycle Management domain.

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a highly skilled **Windchill/ThingWorx** **PLM Lead Engineer** to fill a critical role within its Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in **ThingWorx Navigator** and **PTC Windchill** development and integration, with a strong understanding of digital thread concepts within the medical device industry.
Responsibilities:
+ Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions and Navigator Apps within the **ThingWorx** and **Windchill** platforms.
+ Implement UI/UX customizations, REST APIs, and extensions to support MedTech’s evolving PLM roadmap.
+ Integrate ThingWorx and Windchill with other enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, MES, QMS).
+ Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
+ Ensure PLM solutions align with regulatory and compliance standards (FDA, ISO).
+ Provide support, maintenance, and documentation for existing PLM solutions.
+ Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices within the PLM development team.
Required Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of experience with **ThingWorx** development, including Windchill Navigator, Mashups, services, and data model design.
+ 5+ years of experience with **PTC Windchill** (preferably in the MedTech or Life Sciences industry).
+ Strong Java and JavaScript skills for custom development.
+ Experience integrating PLM with ERP, QMS, and other enterprise systems.
+ Experience gathering requirements and translating into a product / platform vision through deep expertise in development, engineering, and UX
+ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience in regulated industries, particularly medical devices.
+ Knowledge of digital thread, digital twin, and model-based engineering concepts.
+ Familiarity with Windchill modules such as PDMLink, MPMLink, or Quality Solutions.
+ The anticipated salary range for this position is $124,950 - $169,050
+ The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
