    The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking an entry level Information Systems Engineer to help provide overall system integration support for a complex military development program with our C4ISR Division.

     

    The Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems Division delivers mission-critical solutions, specializing in cyber operations, information architecture, strategic deterrence, and ISR. Our division’s commitment to innovation and security enables us to provide critical solutions across defense, intelligence, and national security.     Responsibilities

    + Analyzes, designs, and deploys physical and virtual Linux and Windows workstations and servers to satisfy program requirements

    + Analyzes, designs, and implements Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to meet NIST-800-53 security controls

    + Researches, designs, develops, and implements security controls, policies and procedures to ensure system hardware and software is in compliance with Department of Defense Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

    + Conducts root cause analyses to identify and resolve technical deficiencies

    + Develops and refines technical requirements and test plans to meet organization and customer standards

    + Develops technical documentation to meet U.S. Air Force Configuration Control Board (CCB) standards

    + Elicits, analyzes, and validates system requirements through stakeholder engagement and system analysis

    + Identifies design gaps and potential risk areas through proactive risk gap analysis

    + Develops and maintains requirements traceability and corresponding test procedures

    + Works with internal and external customers to meet program requirements and schedules

    + Works under minimal direction and independently determines and develops solutions and improvements

    + Other duties, as assigned

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field

    + 0-3 years related experience

    + Experience designing, developing, and deploying open-source mapping solutions similar to TileServer GL

    + Experience with Linux, Linux Containers (LXC), and open-source Linux-based virtualization technologies (e.g., Proxmox, XCP-ng, Nutanix, etc.)

    + Experience analyzing, designing, developing, and deploying an open-source Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solution (e.g., ELK, Wazuh SIEM/XDR)

    + Willing to travel to the Republic of Korea for short or extended periods (up to 2-4 weeks)

    + Experience with Information System Engineering principles, processes, and procedures

    + Strong understanding of requirement management processes and validation strategies

    + Good verbal and written communication skills

    + Must be a U.S. citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Experience with Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), or Direct-Attached Storage (DAS) systems

    + Experience configuring and supporting Dell VxRail servers, Dell EMC Isilon, or Dell EMC Unity storage appliances

    + Experience analyzing, designing, developing, and deploying hardware and software solutions that satisfy NIST 800-53 standards

    + Understanding of networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs

    + DoD 8140 certification

    + Experience with U.S. Government certification and accreditation processes

    *Salary Range

     

    + $67,000-$81,000

     

    + Salary commensurate based on education and relevant experience

The range displayed in the job advertisement reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries across all US locations.
