**Tradesmen International** is immediately hiring experienced **Marine Structural Welders** for projects located in the **Newport News, VA area** . This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is **up to $45/hour** based on experience **plus $140/day per diem** for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:

+ Multipass: All position fillet and butt welds using the following processes: SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding) and GMAWP (Pulse Arc Welding)

+ Heating with Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch

+ Air Carbon Arc Gouging

+ Other tasks assigned

Requirements

+ Must be able to pass a weld test

+ Familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry

+ Minimum of 4+ years of experience

+ Must have NNS or Naval Shipyard experience

+ Experience working in a physically demanding environment shipboard sub-assemblies ladders staging etc
