Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) is a fast-paced, innovative, and growing global organization. This organization provides exciting opportunities for accountants who want to be challenged and are interested in being directly involved with product business decisions. This open position is an Accounting Manager on the LPSD Consolidations Team. The role will lead and provide support to LPSD’s Medium Engines business.
This role is a supervisor position with leadership over managing LPSD Medium Engines financial planning and analysis, as well as acting as a trusted business advisor to the LPSD leadership. The incumbent will demonstrate and develop leadership skills, communication, presentation, and financial analysis skills, along with regular interactions with senior leadership within LPSD.
The position will report to the LPSD Consolidations Senior Manager. Primary responsibilities of the Accounting Manager are divided into these areas:
What You Have:
+ **Education and Experience** : Bachelor’s Degree within Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
+ **Financial Reporting:** Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.
+ **Managing People:** Knowledge of processes involved in managing people; ability to lead successful teams, and diligently address issues related to performance and conflicts at the workplace.
+ **Financial Analysis:** Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
+ **Analytical Thinking:** Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
+ **Judgment and Decision Making:** Knowledge of the decision-making process; ability to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward communicating actions and activities that maximize organizational performance.
+ **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

+ This position is in our Mossville, IL office or Lafayette, IN office
+ This role is a full time position and currently requires 5 days a week in office

Summary Pay Range:
$144,960.00 - $217,320.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
