Responsibilities
+ As a Data Principal Technology Consultant, you will be a strategic leader delivering innovative data solutions that empower clients to harness the full potential of their data ecosystems. Your expertise in data technology, cloud platforms, and solution architecture will drive transformational initiatives, primarily in the insurance sector, helping clients achieve scalable, future-ready platforms
+ Lead discovery and requirement gathering sessions with business and IT stakeholders to identify technology-driven opportunities and challenges
+ Translate complex business goals into scalable data architectures, technology roadmaps, and actionable implementation strategies
+ Collaborate with technical leads and architects to design innovative, scalable, and practical data solutions
+ Manage end-to-end consulting engagements, from initial assessments and strategy formulation to MVP delivery and technical execution
+ Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through cloud and data modernization initiatives while addressing technical, business, and organizational complexities
+ Facilitate stakeholder workshops to align technical capabilities with business objectives and define detailed solution blueprints
+ Assemble and lead cross-functional teams of engineers, analysts, and solution experts to ensure successful project delivery
+ Mentor internal and client teams on emerging data technologies, best practices, and architectural principles
+ Lead and contribute to presales activities, including proposal development, solution design, client presentations, and RFx responses
+ Collaborate closely with business development and account teams to nurture client relationships and identify new growth opportunities
Requirements
+ 10+ years of experience in technology consulting, solution architecture, or technology leadership roles, preferably client-facing
+ 5+ years of hands-on experience working with modern data platforms and cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
+ Deep expertise with data engineering and architecture tools including Databricks, Snowflake, Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Python, and SQL
+ Strong understanding of data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema), data governance, and analytics workflows
+ Experience with cloud-native data processing, orchestration, and deployment tools
+ Proven ability to design and implement scalable data solutions aligned with business goals
+ Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills, with the ability to connect with both technical and non-technical audiences
+ Demonstrated experience leading complex consulting projects and managing multidisciplinary teams
+ Presales and proposal development expertise, including crafting and delivering technology-driven client solutions
+ Passion for continuous learning and staying current with emerging trends in data technologies and cloud solutions
Nice to have
+ Experience in the insurance domain, especially Property & Casualty, Life, or Health insurance
+ Familiarity with insurance platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, EIS, Insurity, Pega, or UNQORK
+ Hands-on experience with API integrations and middleware within insurance technology stacks

This posting includes a good faith range of the salary EPAM would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate. The range provided reflects base salary only. Individual compensation offers within the range are based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to: geographic location, experience, credentials, education, training; the demand for the role; and overall business and labor market considerations. Most candidates are hired at a salary within the range disclosed. Salary range: $190,000 - $250,000.
