    What you'll do...

     

    The Sr. Director, Strategy & Business Operations, Marketplace will be responsible for leading and managing business operations and strategic projects within the Marketplace organization for Walmart eCommerce. This role will report directly to the Sr. Vice President of Marketplace, and involve developing and managing strategic projects, optimizing business processes, and driving collaboration, accountability, and overall effectiveness for the Marketplace business. The leader will play a key role in ensuring seamless end-to-end execution of critical growth projects, drive planning, business review cadences and ensuring accountability to organizational objectives and key results. Specifically, key focus areas for this leader are -

    Strategy Development and Deployment:

    + Develop and implement operational strategies and initiatives aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.

    + Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities for the organization.

    + Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine the organization's mission, vision, and strategic goals.

    + Lead the development and execution of strategic planning processes, including goal-setting, performance monitoring, and strategic initiatives.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish metrics for measuring business performance and success.

    Operational Execution and Accountability:

    + Analyze financial, operational, and customer data to identify areas for improvement and drive data-driven decision-making.

    + Drive organizational effectiveness by identifying areas for streamlining operations, improving collaboration, and enhancing communication. Optimize business processes and workflows to drive operational efficiency and productivity across departments.

    + Provide insights and recommendations on business development, expansion, and diversification opportunities.

    + Staff and Team Leader: Lead and mentor among a team of peer professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.

    + You can foster collaboration between a large group of stakeholders and leverage your expertise to drive results and consensus

    + You are biased for action, relentless about driving and owning the goal and you are motivated by the responsibility of delivering the most crucial capabilities for long term growth

    + You have strong analytical skills and agility to strategically communicate the relationship between results and business outcomes to drive cross-organizational alignment

    + You can help launch growth initiatives by collaborating with cross-functional teams to inform new tests, launch new initiatives, and establish success metrics and reporting

    + You are familiar with leading executive level discussions with a cross functional audience

    + You know how to obtain stakeholder buy-in and synthesize to present a compelling narrative and data-driven analysis to teams

    + You’re detail-oriented, strategic thinker and curious

    + You’re driven, with strong organizational, team leadership, and project management skills

    What you’ll bring/ Preferred qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, economics, finance, or related disciplines. An MBA is highly desirable.

    + Extensive experience (8-10 years) in strategy and business consulting is highly desirable. Specific and demonstrated engagement in customer experience and ecommerce technology and operations is preferred.

    + Experience in eCommerce and online Marketplaces is highly desirable. This includes experience both building in a high growth environment as well as successfully executing in a multi-billion dollar globally scaled enterprise.

    + Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in operational and financial analysis.

    + Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts on behalf of business partners and to senior executives.

    + Experience working cross-functionally among business stakeholders and technical teams

    Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities.     The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00

    Minimum Qualifications...

    Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Social Science, Communications, or related field and 7 years’ experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area OR 9 years’ experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area. 3 years’ supervisory experience.
