Job Summary:
The Supervisor, Alarm Dispatcher will oversee the centrally managed law enforcement radio monitoring with event logging and recording, alarm monitoring of intrusion detection systems, emergency dispatch, incident reporting and analysis, and remote alarm panel programming. The role ensures that all operations are conducted efficiently and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
+ Supervises the monitoring of the Inspection Service’s national radio traffic, ensuring events are recorded accurately and information requested by radio users is provided promptly.
+ Oversees the monitoring of intrusion detection systems, utilizing automated alarm monitoring software to initiate internal or police response based on defined criteria, accurately capturing event information, confirming the accuracy of data recorded in the alarm database, and interacting with postal employees, including postal inspectors, postal customers, and police departments.
+ Manages after-hours phone traffic, ensuring that phone traffic is monitored and processed efficiently.
+ Performs additional supervisory tasks as required for the assigned site, ensuring that all operations are conducted smoothly and effectively.
Qualifications:
+ Proven experience in a supervisory role within a similar environment.
+ Strong understanding of alarm monitoring systems and emergency dispatch protocols.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
+ Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
+ Knowledge of company policies and procedures related to job safety and security.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY
Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.
Education/Experience:
**•** Must have high school diploma or GED
• Call center experience required

• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form
