    Description:

    **Position Summary** :

     

    As a member of the Central Staffing Department, a Central Staffer is responsible for the efficient and effective management of staffing resources, ensuring adequate coverage across designated areas. This role involves developing and maintaining staff schedules, responding to staffing fluctuations, and coordinating personnel assignments. The Central Staffer serves as a key point of contact for staff and management regarding scheduling and staffing inquiries and maintains accurate records to support operational needs. This position plays a critical role in optimizing workforce utilization and ensuring seamless service delivery

     

    **Education Requirements** :

    + High School Diploma with 1-2 year experience in health related field is required.

    + Two-year associate degree with 1-2 years’ experience preferred.

    **Experience Requirements** :

    + Demonstrable skills and proficiency with computer systems and spreadsheets, with capacity to learn complex scheduling software.

    + Able to accurately maintain payroll and time and attendance records for department leadership.

    + Strong customer service and inter personnel skills.

    + Demonstrated capacity to effectively communicate with multiple layers of organizational staff and leadership.

    Principal Responsibilities:

    Works with leadership and or leadership designees to provide the supplemental staffing resources (RN & PCT) required to maintain planned staffing levels.

     

    Maintains tracking systems to accurately identify and report to department leadership the time and attendance of staff, as well as updating UKG per policy.

     

    Collaborating with unit leadership to address long term staffing needs and resolves urgent and emergent staffing and scheduling conflicts as needed.

     

    Analyzes posted schedules in an effort to reduce reliance on incentive pay, focusing on financial stewardship and unit productivity.

     

    Functions as a resource to the Clinical Resource Team (CRT).

     

    Coordinates with Patient Logistics and House Supervision to communicate the dynamic staffing fluctuations across One Acute.

    Other Responsibilities:

    1.Professional Growth and Development

    + Assumes responsibility for ongoing personal growth and development. Attends all mandatory educational forums. In addition, attends 5 hours of non-mandatory programming per year.

    + Performs a self-evaluation annually.

    + Establishes personal and professional goals annually.

     

    Pay range: $17.85 - $23.80

     

    Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
