    RESIDENTIAL CARE ADVISOR

    ABOUT YOU

    In any given day, you might cook, clean, manage medications, take residents to appointments, interact with family and resident treatment team members, and design games and crafts. We’re looking for employees who are professional, flexible, compassionate, and can remain composed in stressful situations.

     

    This is a team-based position. Our sites are like your family home! Your dependability, integrity, empathy for others (both persons served and your fellow employees), and dedication to teamwork are essential to this position.

    SCHEDULE

    Tuesdays 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM

     

    Wednesdays 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM

     

    Thursdays 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM

     

    Fridays 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM

     

    Saturdays 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM

    RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS

    + Bachelor’s Degree **OR** High School Diploma or Equivalency and 1 year of direct care experience.

    + Valid Driver license - adhere to the Driver Authorization and Adherence Policy Number: 1.H.10.b-c (located on the “G” Drive Policy and Procedures – Section 1 Administrative Standards

    + Act 33/34/73 clearances to be updated every 60 months at the employee’s expense

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    Pittsburgh Mercy is looking for a **Residential Care** **Advisor** to provide assistance and training to individuals with Serious Mental Illness in our residential treatment Munhall location. We’re looking for people who have experience developing and mentoring a team, and who believe in a strengths-based approach, and use positive practices to help guide their everyday activities.

     

    **Munhall Manor** is a small 8-bed Comprehensive Mental Health Personal Care Home (CMHPCH) located in a neighborhood setting in Munhall, Pa., conveniently located on a bus line. While required daily tasks to insure the health and well-being of the residents and site are of utmost importance, this position offers many opportunities to engage with the residents both on site and out in the community. Along with daily interactions and conversations, staff are highly encouraged to help support the residents’ well-being through socialization, developing and encouraging participation of both and on and off-site activities, shopping, trips, and other activities that support their social and personal well-being. If you would enjoy working with small and diverse group residents with the ability to make direct and positive impact on their lives and well-being in the community, this is the job for you.
