Job Summary
The Inside Sales Specialist is primarily responsible for the identification and qualification of new opportunities and leads. Strong research and analytical skill sets will be utilized to conduct targeted market research and associated analysis to identify new potential customers and emerging trends. The role requires establishing new customers to West and driving value via understanding the customer pipeline and aligning the appropriate product and service platforms. Responsible for e-commerce platforms to enhance new customer and associated user experience and boost online and direct sales. Develop additional strategy to continue to expand the West reach with new accounts as well as continued enhancements or development of new processes to drive efficiency with all service models. Manages a portfolio of small and emerging customers, ensuring their needs are met to improve their overall customer experience. The Inside Sales Specialist is a self-starter who possesses a natural ability to proactively chase new avenues for identifying and capturing new accounts to the West portfolio as well as developing novel will quickly develop their ability to identify, manage, and grow new and existing business. A sales specialist is a self-starter who will pursue new accounts and creatively onboard, maintain, and grow the business with a large number of accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Acquire and manage new business through prospecting, support of the ecommerce platform and conversion of leads to sales
+ Develop strategies focussed on developing new relationships for customers not currently known or working with West
+ Uncover opportunities through strong listening and interviewing skills and understanding the customer’s drug pipeline to provide complete solutions for their needs
+ Manage the leads process and work with Marketing on product campaigns according to our customer portfolio
+ Support for appropriate customer follow-up from webinars or other customer attended West events
+ Perform data analytics for customer or platform portfolios to drive enhancements to product and service models in support of new accounts and how they will be appropriately serviced
+ Responsibility for an assigned mixture of a small and/or emerging accounts portfolio
+ Understand market trends including relevant competitors, technology and regulatory issues to keep customer informed
+ Utilize all service platforms, including e-platforms, manage customers, training of the customers, and optimizing the use of support systems as well as working with other departments to improve the overall service model to these new accounts
+ Manage any other tasks related to administrative support and assistance with the day to day within the Sales Team
Basic Qaulifications
+ College education
+ Experience in client services or customer service
+ Prefer a 2-year experience in customer interaction roles
+ Knowledge or experience with ERP tools like SAP with Sales and Distribution
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Working knowledge of MS Office
+ Previous experience in inside sales, or an e-commerce environment is highly beneficial. Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus
+ Previous experience with cold calls and/or developing strategies to connect with and onboard new customers is strongly preferred
+ Natural ability to demonstrate creativity with innovative thinking to discover and implement enhancements to existing processes
+ Highly proficient in written and spoken English (other languages appreciated)
+ Customer-Focused Attitude: A customer-centric approach with a genuine desire to ensure customer satisfaction and build lasting relationships
+ Strong communication skills
+ Strong people skills – approachable, good listener, empathetic
+ Self Starter with ability to work independently in a global environment as well as in team settings for project and/or process specific needs
Travel Requirements
10%: Up to 26 business days per year
Physical Requirements
Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
