    Overview

     

    IGT is seeking a senior level web developer to design, implement, test and support innovative, high quality systems application software for use in casino environments.

    Responsibilities

    Applicant must be able to solve software engineering problems in a resourceful and effective manner, while maintaining robust software engineering solutions that adhere to design principles and anticipate future product features.  This position requires the applicant to have a deep understanding of web application architectures and web frameworks like Vue, reactJS and Angular. The successful applicant will work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment to develop web products through the software lifecycle, from requirements through deployment, and may investigate escalated field issues as needed. The applicant must be able to interpret needs, objectives, and direction from multiple sources of input and communicate expectations clearly and concisely to management/peers/clients.

    Must Have

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent

    • Minimum of 7 years of experience. Having 2+ years of Angular exp is added advantage

    • Experience developing and delivering single-page applications

    • Experience with use and design of Vue or Angular web framework, WebSockets

    • Deep knowledge of Web domain, JavaScript, Typescript, CSS, and HTML

    • Knowledge of testing tools such as Jasmine, Karma, Protractor

    • Familiarity with UX design patterns such as MVC and variants thereof

    • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, XML, JQuery

    • Experience with version control systems (git or equivalent)

    • Experience with the Agile process and Kanban tools

    • Experience in writing reusable, highly configurable, extendable, backward compatible, responsive, highly perform and testable UI components and JS libraries.

    • Must have good written and verbal communications, be self-motivated, and work well in a team environment.

    • Occasional travel required.

    Nice to Have

    • Experience in ReactJS or Angular

    • Experience with high availability application design

    • Comfortable with Linux commands, Apache and tomcat server

    • Familiarity and experience with production deployment and trouble shooting

    • Experience in system integration and testing automation

    • Experience in SEO best practices
