Consult business sponsors, IT peers, and Information Security management to assure application of security principles and mitigation of risk associated with new and existing technologies operating platforms and application systems. Design, develop, and implement security architectures that meet business requirements balancing security, cost, and user experience. Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate action. Assist in implementation and review of Mapfre’s Information Security Program strategy, policy, and processes. Assist with hands-on duties related to AWS cloud migrations, firewall management and application/system vulnerability management.

*Higher level Sr Information Security Architect will be considered based on commensurate experience.

Qualifications and Skills:

**Education:** Bachelor’s degree in computer science or cyber security plus the CISSP certification or equivalent information security certification required within 24 months of hire.

**Experience:** 6 - 8 years of professional experience in relevant cyber security field.

Demonstrated Technical Knowledge and Experience:

- Secure coding practices/code review

- Checkpoint, Fortinet and Palo Alto firewall administration/engineering experience

- Serverless/container based computing platforms

- Cloud computing (i.e. AWS/Azure) infrastructure & administration

- Static Code Analysis tools and testing

- TCP/IP Communications, Networking, DNS, Routing

- Microsoft Windows—Server & Desktop

- Dynamic Application Security tools and testing

- Application and system vulnerability management & analysis

- Linux/UNIX Operating Systems

- Identity and access management experience

- Application vulnerability analysis and remediation

- Oracle or another SQL database platform

- Project Management

Demonstrated Communications and Business Skills:

- Analysis, reporting, and articulation of complex concepts to broad audiences

- Policy, Procedure and Standards Development

- Business proposal writing

- Written and oral presentation to all levels

- Excellent interpersonal, consultative, coaching, communication, and negotiation skills
