Marklund is hiring a Gift Processing Associate in Geneva!

Marklund is seeking highly motivated and mission-centered individual for the position of Gift Processing Associate. This is a full-time position based out of the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, IL. The schedule of this position is Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. The salary range is $42,000- $55,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

The Gift Processing Associate will serve as a member of the Development Team and be responsible for all gift entry, printing and mailing all donor acknowledgement letters, and donor database projects and tasks as assigned.

Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational and therapy services to infants, children, teens and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With three residential locations - the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, the Marklund Philip Center in Bloomingdale, and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin, it is currently home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on the autism spectrum. In addition, our Community Day Services program at each site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklund and those who come in from the community.

Responsibilities Include:

+ Process daily mail and analyze each gift to determine appropriate coding including cash, checks, online credit cards, payroll deductions, Peer-to-Peer, EFTs and in-kind.

+ Accurately enter gifts into the Raiser's Edge donor database.

+ Process fundraising event registrations and donations.

+ Maintain and correct demographic and personal data as well as adding new constituent records to the database as needed.

+ Ensures accurate data entry and data integrity through regular data checks

+ Execute weekly and monthly reconciliation reports in coordination with the Finance Department.

Required Experience:

Associate's Degree Required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience in Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge or similar data management platform, preferable in the nonprofit sector, with an exceptional attention to detail.

Preferred Skills Include:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and database software applications

• Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge database or similar application

• Execution of work in a timely fashion, while managing multiple deadlines

• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

• Accountability for work with a high level of professional and personal integrity

• Trustworthiness with knowledge of confidential donor, client, and volunteer information
