+ Devote approximately 85-90% of your total professional effort to professional clinical service as outlined below. You will be expected to devote between 1% and 10% of your total professional effort to scholarly activities. In keeping with the School of Medicine Guidelines for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure, you are expected to participate in scholarship, which may include authorship of manuscripts, participation in research studies, abstract presentations, professional blogs, and other scholarly activities. You will be expected to devote between 1% and 10% of your total professional effort to teaching. In keeping with the School of Medicine Guidelines for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure, you are expected to participate in teaching, which may include occasional lectures, small group and bedside teaching, preceptorship, and mentorship.
+ Devote 50% effort to clinical service with time split between AMBH (60%) and Hughes Spalding (40%) Hospitals. Your time allocation and/or hospital split may change during the year as per needs of the Division and discussions with your Division Chief.
+ Devote 50% effort to the Urgent Care Fellowship.
+ Provide bedside supervision of medical students and residents
+ Participate in fellow's conferences and didactic lectures for fellows, residents, and students at Emory
+ Participate in research and quality related projects
+ Attend medical staff meetings and faculty meetings as appropriate
+ Participate in formal teaching activities outside of the clinical setting. This would involve preceptor shifts and lectures to medical students, residents and fellows.
+ Provide exemplary clinical service and assure that patients cared for by you only receive the highest quality care.
+ Demonstrate a pattern of excellence and ongoing contributions in clinical medicine, as well as research and teaching.
+ Maintain your PALS, DEA, Georgia medical license, and Pediatric Board certification.
+ Participate in an annual review, by the Chief of Department of Pediatrics Emergency Medicine Division, regarding your activities.
