Job Description
An employer in the Dallas, TX market is looking for a Secret Cleared Windows System Administrator to join their team. This position is supporting Software Development Engineering teams. The position requires the ability to perform complex, multi-disciplined administration in secure lab and isolated network environments. The Windows Systems Administrator will participate in roadmap, architecture, implementation, and sustainment of operational Windows network infrastructure supporting software teams. Candidate must be a self-motivated team player with excellent technical and communication skills.
Integrate with a team of multidiscipline, multileveled Systems Administrators supporting Windows, Linux, and Network operations
Assist Software Engineers by providing Windows infrastructure services in support of development efforts
Partner with Information Security team to provide secure, auditable Windows systems
Plan and document operational processes, configurations, and diagrams required for management, Security operations, and the software teams
Coach, mentor and train new team members
Assist leadership with business decisions demonstrating and safeguarding the company by assuring that applicable laws and policies are followed

Skills and Requirements
Bachelors Degree in related field
9+ years of experience with Windows Server and Windows client systems administration (Server 2022, Server 2019, Server 2016, Windows 11, Windows 10)
Minimum of a Secret Clearance
Ability to work on-call non-standard hours (after hours and/or weekends) for outages and maintenance periods
Basic network administration of layer 2/3 switches
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, ADM Templates
System hardening and auditing in Risk Management Framework (RMF), Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, DISA STIG environments
Configuration management with SCOM, Ansible/Ansible Automation Platform, AWX, puppet, or chef
Linux administration experience
Scripting and Automation experience in PowerShell, Windows Batch, VBS/VBA, Python, Perl, Javascript Windows Server and Windows client systems administration in mixed OS (Unix, Linux) environments
Break/fix troubleshooting
Provisioning via Windows Deployment Services, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, or similar technologies
Network infrastructure services setup and maintenance of DNS, DHCP
Network storage services setup and maintenance of SMB/CIFS
Patch management in WSUS
Centralized authentication setup and user/group management (FreeIPA, IDM, Kerberos, LDAP, NIS)
Code repository administration of Team Foundation Server, git, GitLab, GitHub, SVN
Knowledge of DevOps tools (Kubernetes , OpenShift, TeamCity, Docker, Jenkins)
Experience in building/utilizing CI/CD pipelines
Experience with cloud platforms
Certifications in one or more MCSA, MTA, Microsoft 365, MCSE, Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH
Deep understanding of metrics and monitoring systems (SCOM/MOM, Nagios, Zabbix, OpenView)
Experience performing log analysis and other network forensic investigations (Elasticsearch, Splunk)
Deep expertise troubleshooting complex distributed systems
Experience with creating and improving documented procedures and/or playbooks null
