Our client, a leader in retail technology, is seeking a Senior Application Developer - Java to join their team. As a Senior Application Developer - Java, you will be part of a high-performance team supporting innovative Point of Sale solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for hands-on development, which will align successfully in the organization.

This position is w2 only, not accepting candidates from subvendors (no corp to corp).

**Job Title:** Senior Application Developer - Java

**Location:** Columbus, OH (Hybrid - Local candidates only)

**Pay Range:** Competitive

What's the Job?

+ Design, develop, and maintain Java features for Point of Sale systems.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.

+ Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.

+ Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.

+ Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance functionality.

What's Needed?

+ Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, preferably HighJump.

+ 6 - 8 years of strong hands-on experience in Java JEE, design patterns, and Java microservices.

+ 5+ years of experience with Java design patterns, multi-threading concepts, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.

+ 3+ years of experience in Java UI technologies like Angular or React.

+ Experience working in an Agile environment and developing Spring Boot applications.

+ Strong SQL/PLSQL knowledge and experience with version control using Bitbucket/GitLab.
