Job Description

Required Education:Ph.D. in plant science, genomics, plant breeding, or a related field

Preferred Experience:Research experience in fruit crop breeding, genomic selection of grapevines, and ripening profiling of horticultural crops (such as grapes and small fruits). Preferred experience also includes research experience in fermentation of fruits, postharvest evaluation of fruits, and evaluation of annual vegetables.

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Highly motivated.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with statistical analysis tools.

Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Experience with multiple crops from the perspective of breeding, processing, and phenotyping..Experience with grapevine breeding, mapping, and genomic selection.
