    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

    + Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by preparing patients for procedures, administering medications, and monitoring post-operative recovery.

    + Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless surgical experiences and optimal patient outcomes.

    + Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, develop individualized care plans, and provide thorough education to patients and their families about surgery and recovery.

    + Adhere to all hospital protocols and safety guidelines, ensuring a sterile and safe environment for both patients and staff.

    + Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team to facilitate understanding and promote an atmosphere of trust and comfort.

    + Accurately document all aspects of patient care, from initial assessments to discharge planning, within electronic health records.

    Qualifications

    Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

     

    + Current and valid state RN License.

    + Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

    + Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

    + Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

    + Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on the job training.

    + Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.

    + Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
