    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper to join our client's team in Jupiter, Florida. In this role, you will manage financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and support the accounting team in daily operations. If you have strong organizational skills and enjoy working with numbers, this position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to our financial processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Monitor company bank accounts on a daily basis and accurately record all cash activity.

    • Maintain and update QuickBooks with precise and timely entries for all financial transactions.

    • Verify payment details from factoring companies, ensuring alignment with load values and invoices.

    • Match incoming payments to brokered and company loads, updating payment statuses accordingly.

    • Keep a live spreadsheet of factoring payments and outstanding balances for tracking purposes.

    • Download and organize factoring documentation, addressing discrepancies with the account manager.

    • Post factoring payments to the appropriate jobs in QuickBooks, documenting any short payments.

    • Investigate factoring chargebacks, identify their causes, and escalate issues to the appropriate team.

    • Manage the Accounts Payable inbox, routing bills appropriately and entering vendor invoices into QuickBooks.

    • Process vendor payments via approved methods, ensuring all necessary documentation is properly stored.

     

    Requirements • Proficiency in QuickBooks for maintaining financial records and transactions.

     

    • Strong skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.

    • Experience with reconciling accounts and ensuring accuracy in financial records.

    • Ability to process invoices and vendor payments with attention to detail.

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for managing spreadsheets and data.

    • Excellent organizational and communication skills for coordinating with internal teams.

    • Familiarity with billing and payroll processes, including tracking and verification.

    • A solid understanding of general bookkeeping principles and practices.
