Are you a skilled writer with a passion for making a difference in the community? A local nonprofit organization is seeking a Part-Time Grant Writer to help secure funding and advance our mission. Position Summary

The Grant Writer will play an essential role in researching, drafting, and submitting compelling grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

+ Research and identify potential grant opportunities that align with the organization’s mission and programs.

+ Write and submit persuasive and well-organized grant proposals tailored to each funder’s guidelines and priorities.

+ Collaborate with program staff to gather program information, budget details, and success stories for grant applications.

+ Track and monitor deadlines for applications, required reports, and renewals.

+ Maintain accurate records of grant proposals and funding agreements.

+ Stay informed about grant trends and best practices to improve the organization’s grant application success rate.

Qualifications

+ Proven experience as a grant writer or in a similar role (minimum 2 years preferred).

+ Exceptional written, verbal, and editing skills.

+ Ability to research and synthesize information quickly and effectively.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with grant management tools (e.g., spreadsheets, databases).

+ Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

+ Experience working in or writing about nonprofit organizations preferred.
