Description

We are inviting applications for the role of a Loan Processor. This role is located in Columbia, Maryland, and offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the loan process, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring best-in-class service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering efficient and accurate processing of customer credit applications.

• Upholding precise customer credit records.

• Providing regular updates to customers and setting expectations throughout the loan process.

• Collaborating with other team members in Home Equity and other business areas to ensure seamless operations.

• Reviewing loan documents supplied by customers and third-party vendors to fulfill required conditions.

• Utilizing internal reports and dashboards to maintain required service levels.

• Participating in pipeline reviews with management to ensure daily tasks are met.

• Assisting with coverage for colleagues to maintain customer communication and meet service level agreements.

• Educating customers on Home Equity products and addressing all inquiries.

• Undertaking additional job-related projects and duties as directed by management.

Requirements • Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or related field.

• Proficiency in using Automated Underwriting Systems is essential.

• Experience in CRM systems is required.

• Demonstrated ability in data processing is vital.

• Familiarity with 'About Time' software is beneficial.

• Experience in handling appraisals is necessary.

• Knowledge of closing processes in a credit union environment is important.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are needed.

• A strong understanding of compliance regulations in the credit union sector is key.

• Experience with home equity loans is desired.

• Proficiency in Apache Velocity is a plus.
