    Description

    Robert Half is assisting a steel fabrication company headquartered in Elkhart, IN, in their search for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who excels in managing financial processes while contributing to the day-to-day operations of a thriving business.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage and maintain customer accounts related to billing and collections.

    + Process, post, and reconcile payments accurately and in a timely manner.

    + Communicate professionally with clients to resolve outstanding invoices or account discrepancies.

    + Monitor aging reports for accounts receivable and provide regular insights to company leadership.

    + Work collaboratively with internal departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure seamless account coordination.

    + Review and enforce customer payment terms in alignment with company policies and agreements.

    + Support monthly closing procedures and assist with preparing accounts receivable-related journal entries.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or a related finance/accounting role. Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is a plus.

    + Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred; relevant work experience will be considered.

    + Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or comparable platforms). ERP system knowledge is an advantage.

    + Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
