We are working with a construction company in DeForest that is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable/Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will support the Accounting Department by managing payroll, accounts payable, and other general and project accounting functions. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with a dynamic team and contribute to the financial operations of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions, including coding and entering invoices accurately and efficiently.

• Manage payroll operations, including multi-state payroll processing using ADP systems.

• Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Perform three-way matching for purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to maintain proper documentation.

• Prepare and execute check runs, ensuring timely payments to vendors and employees.

• Input and verify data for journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.

• Collaborate with project teams to handle project accounting tasks, including tracking expenses.

• Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable regulations in all accounting and payroll processes.

• Assist with audits by providing documentation and supporting information as needed.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, payroll, or a related accounting role.

• Proficiency in processing multi-state payroll using ADP systems.

• Strong skills in invoice processing, coding, and three-way matching.

• Experience with account reconciliation and journal entry preparation.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial recordkeeping.

• Familiarity with project accounting principles and practices.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
